Full Job Description

United Response are looking for a Support Worker to join our team in Nailsea supporting two fun loving brothers who live within their own home. No two days are the same working at this service as these brothers have many likes & interests to keep you busy. One of their main passions is their love of food so pub Wednesdays and takeaway Fridays are a tradition in this house so we hope you're a foodie! The guys here love their cars, so if you have a knowledge of cars, we're sure you'll get along. However, this is not essential and they are both very easy to get along with. Ever heard of 'Are you being served' and 'Dad's Army'? well these sorts of comedies are a huge hit with the guys you'll be supporting, so be prepared for evenings of laughs and giggles! Lastly, as the winter months come closer, pantomimes and musicals will be an activity the people we support just cannot refuse, so be ready to shout 'He's behind you!' There is so much more that they enjoy and they would love to share their amazing life with your support. You will be welcomed by a friendly team and a warm company culture that values its workers. Be prepared to leave your shift feeling fulfilled that you are doing something meaningful in your community. This is a supporting role where experience is not essential. However, we need to ensure you have the right values and determination to positively impact the lives of the people we support, so we just ask that you come with the passion and drive to support individuals to achieve everything they want in their life. All training is provided and our team will be here to support you to become an amazing Support Worker. Professional development is also offered and there are lots of opportunities to progress in the organisation. As part of your role, you will be using a digital app called Nourish, where all care and support plans of the people we support are held. Experience of using a digital or mobile app would be desirable however full training will be given.
