Full Job Description

We are looking for a caring and passionate individual to join our Support Living service in Cimla, Neath. We have a 22 hour Support Worker position available, which includes morning and afternoon shifts times, including wakeful nights.

  • Due to the needs of the individuals we support in this service the post holder for this role is required to be female Due to the needs of the individuals we support in this service, a full manual UK drivers licence is required If you would like the opportunity to work with some truly amazing people please read on….., This service is the home of 3 fun-loving and creative ladies with learning and physical disabilities. This is a high support need service and will be working with these incredible individuals to enhance their various skills and support them with daily activities.

  • Supporting Individuals with their Individual needs.
  • Providing emotional support
  • Completing various Cleaning and Administrative Duties.
  • Being able to bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working.
  • Supporting individuals to manage their finances and medication.
  • All aspects of personal care
  • Acting as a staff advocate for non-verbal individuals.
  • Liaising with family members
  • Outings, such as trips to the beach and cinema

    A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;

  • An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people's lives
  • A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player.
