Support Worker

You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you'll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.

Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK., Promote and motivate service users with independent personal care
Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities, Woodhouse Cottage is located in East Ardsley, in West Yorkshire. Our home offers residential support for six adult male residents, and they are cared for by a male-only team. This includes men with autism or a learning disability. We are in a semi-rural location, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our team are dedicated to promoting independence, choice, dignity, empowerment, respect and opportunities and to support everyone to fulfil their potential.

Disclosure

All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.

It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people's lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.
