We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us. Who you'll be supporting & more about the role : This an exciting opportunity for caring, compassionate and talented Support Workers, to work within a well-established service, supporting 6 people. This service will be supporting people with learning and physical disabilities, whilst also promoting their choices, wellbeing and independence. This service is a bungalow with a shared lounge, kitchen, dining room and communal area for the people we support. They all enjoy doing different activities such as being out and about in the community, for example - going to walks or to the local café for a coffee and going swimming. The people we support would like support staff who are outgoing to join our team to support us on outings and assist us within our aspirations such as going on holiday. We are a fun bunch who love getting out and about but also enjoy having a duvet day! Our staff work on a three shift rota, including early shifts 7.30am - 3pm, late shifts 1.30pm - 9.30pm and night shifts 9pm - am. We usually have at least 3 members of staff on shift during the day and always have 2 on at night. Full training would be given to anyone who joins our staff team, we need the people who join our staff team to be open minded, willing to learn and fun! Your values : We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. This is why we're really passionate about recruiting to individuals' values and we recruit people from all walks of life ; From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
