Support Worker

Care Assistant, Support Worker or similar experience is desirable but not essential. We offer an excellent training and induction programme for everyone! As a Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire you will become part of a fantastic team. Every day is different, but here are just some of the duties you will do:

• Assistance with daily life tasks including personal care, medication and mealtimes.
• Escort and assist in and around the service, at external events and appointments.
• Supporting our Person Centred approach, encouraging maximum independence for our customers and helping to achieve individual aspirations.
• Maintain up to date and accurate records.
  
  Have good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families.
• Ideally have personal care experience (not essential).
• Be able to work under pressure and as a team.
• Flexibility to work within rostered hours / prepared to participate in an on-call rota where required., Disability Confident

A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday. The Manor is a residential care home for 22 people with physical disabilities. We are located in the beautiful and rural town of Brampton in Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon train station is about a 20 minute walk and we are on the main bus route from Huntingdon.
