Support Worker

Do you want to make a difference daily supporting adults in living as independently as possible? We re looking for motivated Support Workers to support adults with emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties In Peterborough.,

• Form positive relationships with service users and provide an environment in which they feel safe and free from harm.
• Support service users gain self-control by rewarding positive behaviours and challenging unacceptable behaviour.
• Ensuring each care plan is followed and amended as required to reflect their changing needs.
• Assisting service users with practical matters such as accessing the community, independence skills development, cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
• Support to identify and attend social and leisure activities.
• Providing a positive role model able to offer advice, guidance, and assistance where appropriate.
  
  A minimum of six months experience working within a similar environment is required for this role.
• Thorough understanding of autism and learning disabilities
• Caring personality and nature
• Positive attitude and passion to help others.
• Basic IT and computer skills
