Support Worker - Cardiff -Hourly rate - £11.60 to £12.50 dependent on qualifications and experience -Full time - 40.25 hours Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? Orbis Education and Care are seeking a dedicated and passionate male support worker to join our compassionate and enthusiastic team at ourCwtch MawrHome, and we want you to be part of our mission.Our goal atCwtch Mawris to support and nurture the young people in our care while they transition into adulthood., As a Support Worker at Cwtch Mawr, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our people, supporting their daily activities, additional needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a magnificent team including therapists and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalised care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning and social interactions.
  • Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person.
  • Implement individualisedcare plans, under the guidance of an incredibly supportive senior team.
  • Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievementsand milestones.

    A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and nights if required.
  • A DRIVING LICENSE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE
