As a Support Worker, you will join our team providing support to Richard, Simon and Paul

  • A lot of the fun happens on the move, so you must be a driver with a UK manual licence . Don't worry you won't be racing between appointments. Your ability to drive unlocks the opportunities for them to do the things they really enjoy.
  • Richard is 50 years old and enjoys going out for drives, he will also likes short walks in quiet areas. He does not like crowded and noisy places, his staff support him to make sure they visit places he will enjoy. He visits the sensory centre weekly and loves a McDonalds. His favourite hobbies are singing and listening to music. Simon is a quiet gentleman who enjoys music and technology, he loves his PlayStation. He likes going out and joining various social events like bowling and nights out in the pub, he likes to have his space to walk around a venue and take in his surroundings. He enjoys the outdoors and attends Macintyre new roots. Paul enjoys cooking and baking with his support staff. He has a hearing impairment and uses some Makaton to communicate, he is also very good at lip reading. He enjoys arts and crafts and he loves animals especially dogs. Could you support them to live lives that make sense to them. We have 37.5 available each week on a 24 / 7 rota, including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.

    You'll be someone who can see the bigger picture and have the visionary skill to be able to help develop the service further. You must have supervisory experience within the social care sector, understanding the intricacies and challenges involved. You will need to be flexible and organised, with a positive approach. Attention to detail, and good Microsoft Word and Excel skills would also be beneficial. You must be a driver with a UK manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.
