Full Job Description

As a Support Worker you will play a crucial role in the lives of our people, supporting their daily activities, additional needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a magnificent team including therapists and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment. Some of the responsibilities are:

  • Provide personalised care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning and social interactions.
  • Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person.
  • Implement individualised care plans, under the guidance of an incredibly supportive senior team.
  • Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.

It's flexible - we offer a mixture of hours from full time, part time, bank, days and nights. Choose what works for you!
  • It's rewarding - This isn't just a job; it's a meaningful journey where your dedication translates into genuine, heartwarming change.
  • It's fun - what other job offers you the opportunity to tag along with individuals to the beach, cinema, shopping or even a quick break away as part of your responsibilities?
  • If this appeals to you then we want to hear from you! While experience would be beneficial, it's not essential, you just need a nurturing and caring personality with the energy to keep up with all the fun activities. Who is Orbis Education and Care? At Orbis Education and Care, we are committed to providing exceptional support and education services for children and young adults with complex needs. We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling lives. With a person-centred approach and strong emphasis on positive outcomes, we create an environment where everyone can thrive and flourish. We have several services including residential and educational and even a hub all around Swansea, some of our services can be quite remote and therefore a car and driving licence would be beneficial.

So what are you waiting for? We offer some great benefits for joining the team including:
  • Health Plan.
  • Paid cancer screening appointments and travel.
  • 'Refer a friend' scheme - earn up to £1000 per any successful candidate you refer to work for us.
