Full Job Description

We are looking for compassionate individuals with a genuine interest in mental health recovery at Elmleigh Hospital for the role(s) of Health Care Support Worker., As a Healthcare Support Worker you will provide physical and psychological care to service users in accordance with the specified plan of clinical care. You will carry out duties as designated by the person in charge and accurately record patient/service user information. In addition to this, you will provide support to relatives/carers.

Previous experience is not required. It is an advantage if the candidate has an understanding of the mental illness and working in a clinical or hospital environment. The skills required for the role are:

  • Caring and kind
  • Cheerful and friendly
  • Able to follow instructions and procedures
  • Able to work in a team but use their own initiative
  • Good communication skills, including listening
  • Good observational skills
