Full Job Description
We currently have several positions available throughout Blaenau Gwent areas. shift patterns are 2-5 days a week
(We also have weekend positions available.
Weekly Pay at £13.00ph, £18.00 bank holidays & £24.00 Xmas day. We pay per visit and not per minute. + .25p per mile
Experience is not necessary as all training will be provided in our training room. (Due to the current recruitment crisis this is scaled back to 3 days classroom and 2 days shadowing)
We will provide you with all the relevant training, PPE, uniforms and support you need to get started as a care worker and you will have the added benefit of a dedicated support team on hand to help.
We can guarantee your hours and provide you with contracted hours, we will keep you local to where you live so that you can minimise travel costs, we will help you to claim your expenses back (uniform maintenance and fuel allowance). We have career development opportunities including enrolling on QCF's. you will also be eligible for discounts in restaurants and stores via the blue light card. All we ask of our staff is that they are honest and reliable, have good communication skills and are respectful to others.
Day to Day Tasks Involve administration of medication, using manual handling equipment to assist with transferring and pressure relief, monitoring health conditions and passing on concerns to team leaders who in turn will speak with district nurses, safeguarding teams, GP's, social workers and occupational therapists. Assistance with meals, bathing, and showering. Duties also include collecting of shopping, and day to day living skills. Without the assistance of care workers many of the individual being supported would have to leave their homes or would remain in long term hospital settings.
