Full Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our expanding Eating Disorders Service for Adults (EDSA). You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and interventions to individuals living with eating disorders.

EDSA has seen significant growth over the past four years, and you'll be joining a passionate, multidisciplinary team comprising nurses, psychologists, dietitians, psychological therapists, clinical practitioners, assistant psychologists, and support workers. The service operates in collaboration with the Somerset and Wessex Eating Disorders Association (SWEDA), providing direct support to patients referred from primary care services.

We have also adopted the FREED (First Episode Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorders) model, ensuring quick access to effective treatment for young adults experiencing a first episode of an eating disorder. Our service is committed to fostering professional growth through various training and development opportunities.

Main duties of the job

You will collaborate with colleagues to support clients receiving treatment through both this pathway and the core service.

Their primary responsibility will be to provide specialist support and guidance to individuals with eating disorders, as well as their families and carers. A key focus of the role is to enhance community-based support, helping clients access local resources, engage in daily living activities, and pursue personalised goals designed to improve their overall quality of life.
