Full Job Description
The Role: To provide support to a very friendly 15-year-old boy, who has a Learning Disability. He is full of energy and a delight to be around. He loves shopping, playing football, and attending cafes. The family are looking for an employed support worker who can support them flexibly to ensure he receives the best care. Experience would be preferred but not essential. Main Duties:
- To attend local parks and to access the community
- To go for walks, and to visit local shops (he enjoys grocery shopping)
- To attend the beach
- To attend the swimming pool and support him in the changing room - you will be required to get into the pool!
- To always supervise and encourage independence
- To support and play football with him
- To attend local cafes
- To experience and to use public transport, Please note, Compass Disability Services (Compass Independent Living Team) is a support, advisory and payroll service. We support people with a disability or long-term health condition to live independently and retain control of their lives within the community. We are not the person that you will work for. You will work for the individual or family that we are supporting.

- Car owner with driving license and business insurance is preferred Please note that this role may be subject to a DBS check, your employer may also ask for you to supply references. You must be able to prove the right to work in the UK. No sponsorships are available. Hours: 3 hours per week to be used flexibility and in a block. Ideally the family would like 6 hours every fortnight, or 9 hours every 3 weeks. This would need to be weekend work during term time.
