Full Job Description

We are recruiting a team for Rhys who is going to be moving into his own home in Pevensey, East Sussex. Rhys is a young man who needs a team of people who will open up his opportunities and support him to experience new things.

About Rhys

Rhys had written down a list of things that are important to him.

· Rhys would like someone to help promote an active lifestyle.

· Rhys likes to surf.

· Rhys likes going to Camber Sands.

· Rhys loves being by the sea and likes to go swimming.

Rhys is looking for someone to be able to -

· Help to structure his day and maintain a helpful routine of activities.

· Help with problem solving.

· Someone to talk to and to help him manage his emotional difficulties and to use appropriate coping skills.

· Help with budgeting & money management

· Help to maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle

· Support with managing professional & social appointments.

· Help to manage family contact and relationships.

· Help to repair paid and unpaid relationships if there have been difficulties within these.

· Holding of all medication (regular and PRN) and provision of these at the appropriate times.

· Support to develop independent living skills, including to independently access the community.

You will:

Be able to put Rhys first and see him for the amazing person he is

Be able to bring experience of supporting adults with a diagnosis of anxiety

Be willing to work through tough times and stand by Rhys.

Be able to support Rhys to make his own choices and learn new skills

Be nurturing and supportive

Be excellent with your communication skills

Be resilient

Be able to bring understanding of sensory needs

Be honest and transparent

Be structured and follow routines

Be adaptable
