Full Job Description

Are you an active, fun-loving person? Do you love rugby? Are you keen to get stuck into new activities?

Become a Support Worker.

What matters to the people we support matters to us, it's their life, their way.

We are looking for someone who is friendly and cheerful to join our fantastic team, supporting 8 people in Coalville.

This role will involve a real hands-on approach and you will be supporting people to maintain their health and wellbeing. If you enjoy a variety of interests, including going to shows, watching the rugby, canal boat trips, shopping and trips to the pub then this role could be for you. Back at home you will need to support with cooking, cleaning and building positive relationships.

Joining in with communal events like birthday celebrations and get togethers are important here. You could be part of our team and help to support people to maintain or learn new skills needed to live their best lives!

You should be available to work a variety of shifts between 7am-10pm, some sleep ins across the week and alternate weekends.

For this role it is essential that you have a full UK driving Licence which you will have held for at least one year.

So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

Ability to commute/relocate: LE67 - You must be able to reliably commute for shift start times or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence.

Why Join Us?

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS, and we have a mentorship scheme in place to provide support and guide you on your journey with us.

We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.

You will be entitled to annual leave with the ability to buy additional leave.

Fully funded health cash plans giving you access to a 24 hour GP, money back on prescriptions, dental treatment, opticians and access to many more health benefits.

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it's not all trips out and artwork. We also support people to take their medication, make healthy lifestyle choices or maintain their home in a way they are safe and well.
It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new - what a feeling!
If you want to empower people to live the life they choose and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
