Full Job Description

Your role will be to support people with mental health diagnoses, a learning disability, autistic people, and other complex needs with their day-to-day activities in the community to live an independent life.

The support we offer is person centred and differs from person to person. You will need to have good adaptive communication skills.

We are looking for people who are patient, resilient, compassionate, understanding, and able to use their own initiative and work independently. This role involves lone working but working within the choices team to build a strong support structure for the people we support.

It is a rewarding and varied role and one that really makes a difference to the lives of the people we support. It helps them to live a fulfilled life and achieve their goals and dreams with a little help from people who care.

Some care experience in supporting people either professionally or personally is preferred for this role.

Brief outline of the role:

You will be part of a team of support workers on a rota system covering the Brighton and Hove area, often lone working you will need to have skills in good communication as well as managing your time effectively. You will be supporting people in their own homes as well as taking them out to enjoy the local community and further afield.

The people we support have asked for staff who are friendly, fun, nice to talk, listen to us and are helpful.
