As a dedicated Support Worker in our fantastic team, you'll play a vital role in helping our customers regain their independence and live well in their own homes. You'll be working with individuals who may need a little extra support due to frailty or dementia, and you'll have the rewarding opportunity to truly make a difference in their lives. Whether you're new to care or have some experience under your belt, we're excited to train and support you on this fulfilling journey. Typical day as a Support Worker (known internally as Reablement Worker)

  • You'll provide 24-hour support to our lovely customers, ensuring they feel safe and cared for throughout the night.
  • Working closely with your care team, you'll follow support plans and promptly report any concerns, making teamwork a key part of your role.
  • Supporting customers with daily living activities, you'll help them with everything from getting dressed to preparing meals, making every moment count.
  • Expect plenty of time for cuppas, chats, and catch-ups; we believe in a relaxed pace, so you won't be rushing from one customer to the next!

  • A Level 2 Diploma in Care or equivalent experience in a personal care environment would be great, but if you're new to care, we can help you work towards one as we provide all the training and support you need to help you succeed.
  • We'd love to see candidates who have worked in CQC care settings, but it's not a dealbreaker if you haven't.
  • A positive, caring can-do attitude is essential; your empathy will help transform our customers' lives.
  • Previous experience of working with support plans is beneficial, but the ability to record and communicate information effectively is what we truly value.
  • An understanding of the local community and networks would be brilliant, but what matters most is your people skills and ability to connect with others.
  • Finally, if you have a background in the public sector or similar fields, we welcome your transferable skills and insights!

  • Although you'll work nights / lone work, we do get together regularly, in the daytime, for training and team meetings.
  • Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans.
  • You'll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
