Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join one of our supported living services based in Epsom, Surrey. You will have the opportunity to work as part of a fantastically passionate and dedicated team supporting a young lady with cerebral palsy who enjoys being as active as possible. Our Support Workers are a vital part of making sure they can live the life they choose.

Here at United Response we are driven by our mission to provide person-centred support and as such you will have a varied role which will involve having a positive and creative approach to support work, being able to think of solutions to everyday problems and create new opportunities for and with the people you will support amongst other things:

  • Standard support worker duties

  • Providing active support

  • Promoting independence

  • Personal care

  • Accompanying individuals on leisure activities and into the community

  • As part of your role, you will be using a digital app called Nourish, where all care and support plans of the people we support are held. Experience of using a digital or mobile app would be desirable however full training will be given


  • You do not need to have previous experience to be a successful Support Worker as full training is provided. You must firstly be passionate about supporting people with disabilities and share in our values of being united, responsive, creative, honest and strong. You should be a patient and resilient individual who is willing to invest time in getting to know the people we support and understand what care best supports their needs.
  • You must be a driver and hold a full UK drivers licence to be considered for this position

    £13.15 per hour (plus an additional 12.03% rolled up holiday pay)

  • 20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata for part time), which increases after 3 and 5 years service

  • Please note this role will include elements of evening and weekend work as well as sleep-ins so flexibility is desirable. Successful applicants will also be subject to a full DBS check.
