Full Job Description

Overview of role: Chris is looking for two, professional support workers to join him during his visits home. The Support Workers will arrive in NW9, at 9.00am on Friday, to collect Chris's wheelchair accessible vehicle, and then drive to collect him. The drive is roughly an hour away and involves using the motorway, so the Support Workers need to be confident drivers. Chris will be ready and waiting, to start his weekends. After driving Chris home to NW9, and dropping off his bags, he would then like to partake in a social activity in London. Chris's Mum is proactive in arranging things for him to do, and it would be great if his Support Workers could find additional, wheelchair accessible activities that align with Chris' interests. Chris will need his PEG feed throughout the day, as well as personal care. On Sundays, Chris receives speech and language therapy at home, and the Support Workers will be part of the sessions. After this, there is an
opportunity for a bigger trip out, and on Mondays, there is a short amount of time in the mornings to take Chris on a final trip, before his Support Workers drive him back to his residential setting. Once Chris is safely there, the Support Workers drive the family car back to NW9.
