Full Job Description
- 28 hours per week
- Rotational shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- This role will specifically support Sarah
- a wheelchair user who loves going out and especially enjoys swimming. This will involve some moving and handling. A UK manual driving licence is essential as you'll be supporting Sarah on outings, including trips to the swimming pool, where being a strong swimmer is required to assist her in the water., Due to the location, a driver with a manual UK license and access to their own vehicle for commuting is a must., Alternatively if you would prefer to complete a manual application form, call usand we will send an application form to you. We're looking for exceptional individualsperhaps with a nursing background or related experiencewho want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of people with multiple learning and physical disabilities. In this role, you'll help create a warm, welcoming environment where those we support can live their glorious, ordinary lives. The people we support, ranging in age from their mid-twenties to mid-sixties, may need assistance with daily activities such as medication support, personal care, and feeding (including PEG tube assistance). But it's not just about providing careit's about making every day special! You'll engage in enjoyable activities like swimming, arts and crafts, dining out, and local outings in our mini-bus. Mealtimes will be shared, with you helping to prepare delicious meals everyone can enjoy. You'll also be part of a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team, including registered nurses, who are available around the clock to provide the best care. Many of our clients communicate in their own unique ways, so your ability to pick up on non-verbal cues will be key.
