Full Job Description
LIFE by Be Caring is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join our learning disabilities team across Newcastle and Gateshead. As a Support Worker you will support people to live happy and fulfilled lives within their local communities. Ensuring individual support needs are met through person-centred tailored support that promotes choice, independence and their voice.
- Pay: £12.00 p/hr (complex rate) (8am - 10pm) / £8.21 p/hr for 10 hour sleep-in support (10pm - 8am).
- Mileage: 45p per mile (drivers) / 20p per mile (cyclists).
- Working 1-1 with the person.
- 1x 24 hour shift a week.
- Vehicle not required as individual has a mobility car.

As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you will be based in Lemington, supporting a very sociable woman in her 70s to live a happy and fulfilled life, participating in local community activities such going out for meals, having coffee, shopping, playing bingo, walking her small dog, and taking trips away. She loves card making, arts and crafts, listening to music, and takes great pride in her appearance. You will support this individual to learn independent living skills such as managing a tenancy, cooking, and cleaning.
