Full Job Description

Swansea Council's Temporary Supported Accommodation will provide accommodation and support for people experiencing homelessness. Our service will run across a 24-hour period 365 days a year. As the Supported Accommodation Manager, you will:

  • Develop and manage all day-to-day aspects of the scheme(s) and the provision of scheme services to residents.
  • Lead and motivate the team ensuring a person centred, high-quality service is delivered with a trauma informed approach.
  • Ensure the provision of an up-to-date and robust housing management service.
  • Provide an advice and support service, on a range of support issues faced by residents, as part of a pathway of support provision from point of homelessness crisis to move on to settled accommodation.
  • Lead on safeguarding matters.
  • Be accountable for all aspects of premises/building management, Health and Safety, budgets and resources.
  • Ensure effective partnership work.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Temporary Supported Accommodation scheme(s) and homelessness services.

  • A strong communicator and problem solver, able to handle difficult and sometimes volatile situations should they arise.
  • Proven experience of working within the social housing sector, managing a team of staff, budgets and premises management.
  • Experience of managing supported accommodation and/or support services which align with the Housing Support Grant guidelines and outcomes framework would be an advantage.

    £44,711 - £48,710 per year. Permanent (37 hours per week). This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development and management of new Temporary Supported Accommodation, for people experiencing homelessness, provided by Swansea Council's Housing Service.
