A fantastic opportunity to join the Supported Employment Team as a Supported Employment Coordinator, managing your own diary, working out in the community and ad-hoc homeworking. What could be more rewarding!, A Supported Employment Coordinator is responsible for assisting individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism in finding and maintaining paid employment. Their primary role is to provide support, guidance, and advocacy to both job seekers and employers. We work with people from different paths in life, and if successful, you will manage a caseload and support them on a journey to where they want to be. You will work in partnership with the supported employment team, delivering on different contracts and funding streams. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 5th November, face to face in Highbridge. About the role Your main duties will include:

  • Work with employers and customers using job coaching and identifying longer-term strategies to ensure sustained employment.
  • Understanding each person's interests, preferences, abilities and support needs and to facilitate and co-ordinate the person-centred employment planning process.
  • To hold and manage a caseload, that will be allocated by the Supported Employment Manager
  • Complete timely reviews and respond quickly to requests of support from the Customer, employer or family / circle of support to ensure that the pathway to employment is successful

    The ability to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative.
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
  • The ability to problem-solve and make decisions.
  • Ability to engage with families and develop confidence and trust with people and their families.
