Full Job Description

This role will support the Group's sustainability journey to ensure the business can return an ethical profit. Supporting the Group Sustainability Manager and working with all areas of the group to develop and deliver the ESG and Net Zero strategies by providing technical and strategic advice. Your duties will include :

  • Leading on the development of the ESG reporting platform, with support from IT and external providers.
  • Ensuring the timely collection of data to allow groups monthly, quarterly and annual carbon footprints to be analysed and reported.
  • Assisting with the development of new ESG and Net Zero strategies and roll them out across the business.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant changes in legislation and sustainability reporting requirements and initiatives.
  • Assisting with stakeholder management, liaising with internal senior managers and directors advising and influencing on all sustainability initiatives.
  • Assisting in the preparation of relevant ESG data or documentation to assist bids and tenders.
  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of presentations and tool-box talks, or information resources for internal staff on all carbon related matter.
  • Carrying out and assist with energy audits, reporting outcomes and improvement actions as directed.
  • Engaging with all levels of employees, building excellent working relationships through regular site visits, the identification of ESG risks and potential areas of improvement.
  • Supporting the Group Sustainability Manager with the identification of strategies to achieve Norse Group sustainability objectives and targets, identifying best practices in carbon reduction and sustainability strategies.

    You will need to demonstrate proven experience within a similar role in the industry alongside;
  • Relevant degree in an environmental or sustainability related discipline (or equivalent). Associate Membership of IEMA (AIEMA), working towards (or willing to work towards) Practitioner Membership. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice governing sustainability legislation Familiar with large data sets, data transfer and excel formula's. Knowledge of ESG, including social value. Carbon reporting and energy auditing (Such as SECR, ESOS, ISO or sector specific carbon / energy reporting schemes)
