Our Sustainability Advisory team in the East Midlands are growing, and we're currently seeking a Sustainability Advisor to join them on their journey. About the team... Our Sustainability Advisory team was established in 2023 to support in Cooper Parry's vision and commitment to its impact beyond business and profit. We're the largest accountancy firm to be B Corp certified and have ambitious net zero plans. At the same time, we're committed to take our clients on a similar journey with us. About the day to day... As a Sustainability Advisor, this role will play a crucial part in helping us achieve our sustainability goals and also supporting our clients through sustainability advisory projects. You will assist the Head of Sustainability in driving forward Cooper Parry's sustainability strategy and critical success factors with the support of the wider sustainability team by:

  • Identify opportunities for the business to embrace aspects of sustainable development including energy and waste reduction, low carbon travel and sustainable procurement
  • Oversee our B - Keepers Program that supports our B Corp certification continuous improvement cycle
  • Evaluate and monitor the company's sustainability performance, conducting research, analysing data and providing strategic recommendations to drive positive sustainability impacts
  • Assist with the preparation and production of sustainability reports
  • Drive employee engagement programs and work closely with relevant Cooper Parry colleagues to drive sustainability across the business
  • Support on client advisory projects that have similar scope as per above requirements such as but not limited to ESG reporting data collection and analysis, ESG maturity assessments (using an existent framework and platform)
  • The role will also be designed to help you grow and develop through your career journey. With access to a wide range of knowledge to help push yourself further - from Managers to Partners, the team are always happy to support you.

    In addition to those core values, as a Sustainability Advisor / Sustainability Analyst, you should have:
  • Relevant degree and/or master's in a related field
  • Proven experience of working in sustainability
  • Proven project management experience and excellent communication skills
  • Confidence in engaging and presenting to different stakeholders
  • Data analysis skills
  • Preferred but not essential knowledge;
  • ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting guidelines, such as GHG Protocol, SBTi, TCFD, CSRD, and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
  • full GHG inventory measurement and reductions
  • B Corp certification
