Full Job Description

As a Sustainability Lead, you will be responsible for building and managing the sustainability programme for a function of over 200 people, 250 supplier sites, and $2bn of production value. You will engage supplier facing teams to build sustainability into our external partnerships, improving performance and delivering according to the strategy initiatives and decarbonization targets. You will also lead a team of sustainability champions to manage each team strategy for each area, embedding the voice of the customer into our central plans and prioritisation.

We are seeking a Sustainability Lead to drive our strategic sustainability initiatives across the External Supply and Manufacturing (ESM) community and our external supply base. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute towards our collective legacy of doing good for people, the environment, and society., Experience of, and ability to create and develop strategy and identify improvements driving sustainable supply chains/suppliers

- Ability to build collaborative and effective relationships at all levels, manage stakeholder and effective communication.

- Capability to maintain a high-level view of projects while being hands-on and detail-oriented when necessary.

- Experience in programme management to include managing complex programs/projects

- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to operate independently.

- Proficiency in understanding and following processes methodically.

- Proactive self-starter with a strong focus on delivery.

- Outcome-focused mindset, taking personal responsibility for delivering results while embracing change and utilizing a growth mindset to focus on client outcomes.

- Highly efficient: able to navigate ambiguity and solve problems in a fast-paced environment; able to influence without authority in a matrix organisation.

- Influencing skills - drive awareness and increase skill levels for colleagues

- Experience in pharmaceutical industry with understanding of supply chain processes and requirements.

- Experience in setting long-term strategic directions in support of wider business strategy.

- Experience in Sustainability strategy development & implementation
