Sustainability Officer

We are seeking a Sustainability Officer to join the Project team on this first of a kind project. The successful candidate will be site based once the site office is established (within 12-18 months) but until then, will work on a hybrid basis, attending the Milton Keynes and London offices as required.

You will be expected to:

- Develop and implement sustainability strategies for the project in alignment with client and company organizational goals.
- Collaborate with the project team to promote and integrate sustainable practices into project execution and operations, including frameworks, processes, and procedures.
- Identify, monitor, and report on key sustainability performance indicators.
- Foster awareness and engagement among project team members regarding sustainability initiatives, as well as from external stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors.
- Regular reporting and coordination with partners and clients., Ensuring environmental impact assessments are conducted and recommendations for minimizing ecological footprint are considered.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
- Identifying opportunities for resource efficiency and waste reduction.
- Promoting and ensuring adequate learning and plans are in place in compliance with relevant standards, focusing on human rights, people development, diversity & inclusion, and personnel qualifications/learning.
