Full Job Description

The sustainability project manager is responsible for leading the execution of our sustainability initiatives within the Segment. This role involves planning, project management and cross-department collaboration to drive the successful implementation of sustainability programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a deep understanding of sustainability standards and the ability to engage and motivate global, diverse teams., Program development and management:

  • Co-design, co-ordinate, co-implement and manage key sustainability initiatives that align with the Segment objectives.
  • Co-develop project plans, timelines and budgets, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Stakeholder management:
  • Listen to and collaborate with internal teams, including but not limited to, finance, sourcing, engineering, operations, Lean, EHS.
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders, as needed.
  • Performance tracking and reporting:
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor progress and measure the success of sustainability initiatives.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Risk management:
  • Identify potential challenges and risks associated with the roll-out of the initiatives and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable sustainability regulations and standards.
  • Continuous improvement:
  • Keep up to date about industry trends, best practices and new initiatives in sustainability.
  • Identify areas for improvement, trends and patterns to then define and propose continuous improvement projects for both processes and impacts.
  • Budget management:
  • Oversee budget allocation for sustainability initiatives and track expenditures, ROI to ensure financial efficiency.

    Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, business administration or a related field, master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, ideally with a focus on sustainability.
  • Prove track records of leading cross-functional projects and teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a global environment.
