Full Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and analytical professional to join our Group Sustainability Team as a Sustainability Reporting and Climate Analyst. This role offers exposure to a broad range of sustainability practices and climate finance within a financial institution. The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of sustainability reporting, respond to sustainability ratings, and analyse and report on Scope 3 financed emissions. Additionally, the role will involve supporting various related projects and processes, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to our sustainability efforts while gaining valuable experience in the field., Sustainability Reporting
- Assist in the preparation and compilation of sustainability reports in accordance with established frameworks (e.g., GRI, UN PRB, CSRD, ISSB, SASB, TCFD).
- Collect, analyse, and synthesise data from various departments to ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting of sustainability-related information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and updates on sustainability initiatives and performance metrics. Response to Sustainability Ratings
- Support the team in responding to sustainability ratings and assessments from external organisations (e.g., Sustainalytics, CSA Dow Jones, MSCI, CDP).
- Coordinate the collection of necessary documentation and data to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Monitor and track feedback from rating agencies to identify areas for improvement and enhance future ratings. Scope 3 Financed Emissions Analysis
- Analyse and report on Scope 3 financed emissions, including data collection and assessment of emissions associated with the lending and investment activities of the organisation.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop methodologies for calculating and reporting Scope 3 financed emissions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarising findings and recommendations for reducing financed emissions. Data Management
- Maintain and update databases related to sustainability metrics and emissions data to ensure accuracy and accessibility for reporting purposes.
- Implement best practices for data collection and management to support ongoing sustainability initiatives. Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory developments in sustainability reporting and climate finance.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of sustainability reporting processes and methodologies. Project Support
- Assist in various sustainability projects and initiatives as needed, contributing to the overall goals of the Group Sustainability Team.
