Full Job Description

The post will be held by a recognised and experienced senior officer required to ensurethat the statutory duties of the council to manage its residential travel planning andsubsequent behaviour change programmes.They will be working with national initiatives and legislation and will be required toimplement and support developments to deliver them, working within and supportingthe delivery of the Sustainable Travel teams works and objectives within all newdevelopment sites within Shropshire as well as working with new-build educationalsettings.The team is also under transformation so an agile and progressive attitude will beneeded.

You will have extensive knowledge and experience of residential travel planning andthe changes by the Government to vision led approach. You will be representing thecouncil, and working with our partners, and stakeholders. We are looking at how youcan influence others on the benefit of making changes now that can have a hugeimpact in the future and how our policies and strategies need to be aligned to these.Shropshire Council Job Advert - 2023 v.2.1You will have experience of project management.Analysing and interpreting complex information, and presenting these in a format thatis understood to inform decision making will also essential.
