  • Summary Of Essential Functions:

    Sustainable Used Materials Services (SUMS) supply chain Specialist / planner will help us make our service more sustainable by managing the return and repair process of components from the field. You will coordinate the inbound and outbound logistics of defective and repaired parts in EMEA. You will also maintain accurate data and records of the return and repair activities and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the supply chain performance.

    This role is to be based either from Hemel Hempstead, UK or India.
    Duties:
  • Plan and forecast the demand and supply of spare parts for return and repair operations.

  • Issue purchase orders to external repair vendors and internal repair centers and monitor their fulfillment.

  • Coordinate with logistics providers and customs brokers to arrange the shipment and clearance of parts.

  • Track and report the status and inventory of parts in transit, at repair sites, and at warehouses.

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, contractual terms, and regulatory requirements.

  • Analyze and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to return and repair operations.

  • Create and update data and documents required for return and repair activities, such as SAP data, return authorization, packing list, invoice, and warranty claim.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as service managers, engineers, customers, and suppliers, to ensure smooth and efficient return and repair process.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and cost reduction in the return and repair process.

    Experience in supply chain, logistics, or service operations.

  • Experience with repairable parts, refurbishment, or remanufacturing processes


  • Knowledge/Skills / Competencies:
  • Knowledge of return and repair processes and best practices.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
