Full Job Description

The leisure and wellbeing service forms part of the Resource Directorate and is responsible for delivering various leisure services across Wigan Council. Our aim is to increase participation in sport and encourage everyone to get active and achieve a healthier lifestyle. You will support the leisure centres in delivering a wide and diverse program ensuring we are inclusive and accessible to everyone.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and passionate swim teacher with experience of teaching school groups, LTS programmes, Parent & Child lessons and one to one lesson to work across all our pools. Ideally you will have experience of teaching Swim England's LTS framework. You will need to be an approachable, positive role model with a fun, engaging approach and a talent for teaching that meets individual's needs. You'll need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to working hours, with the natural ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers, putting people at ease, with a real "can-do" attitude; nothing is too much hassle for you., As a Swimming Teacher you will provide a high-quality service in accordance with the swimming programme, ideally having experience of teaching school groups, following Swim England's LTS Framework, Parent & Child lessons and One to One lessons. You will support the leisure centres in delivering a wide and diverse program ensuring we are inclusive and accessible to everyone.
