Switchboard Operator / Administrator - Days

The successful candidate will join a friendly front line team operating a busy acute hospital switchboard. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be calm in emergency situations. The full time position is for an operator working on a rotational 2 week shift pattern.

• Previous applicants need not apply, + As the first point of contact for the telecommunication service of the UHBW Trust, operators are responsible for providing an efficient switchboard/information service 24/7 to all staff and customers of the Trust.
+ Carry out all aspects of the responsibilities of an operator in a pleasant, courteous and professional manner at all times. + Operators will be required to use their own initiative efficiently and accurately when dealing with Emergency/Life and Death procedures and situations outside the parameters of these procedures., welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
