  • Become an integral part of a discovery chemistry project team conducting novel research to discover innovative therapeutics
  • Become proficient in the laboratory and competent in the use of standard and advanced laboratory equipment
  • Under guidance, synthesise compounds that will allow program teams to make key decisions and advance projects

  • Present results and ideas in writing, and in meetings as verbal updates and presentations

    Experience the scientific environment of a large global pharmaceutical company. As part of your role within the team you will get the opportunity to gain experience in the following drug discovery activities:
  • Synthesis of compounds for biological profiling
  • Design of compounds to modulate biological targets
  • Application of molecular modelling techniques in molecular design, Studying a chemistry related discipline (or equivalent qualification) at university
  • Strong preference or interest in synthetic chemistry techniques
  • Passion for scientific discovery
