Full Job Description

As a Lead Analyst working in a busy IT department, your role will be to manage a team of specialists across South Yorkshire and Humberside Police for the successful provision of the network and data telephony requirements.

You will have ownership of the technology associated with the network and telephony function across both forces and you will deputise for line managers as part of the role.,

  • Manage a team of highly skilled network professionals.

  • Oversee technical projects in alignment with organisational goals

  • Implement operational processes to increase efficiencies, which will meet and/or exceed client expectations.

  • Develop and maintain an expert knowledge of IT footprint and other IT systems and drive improvements to service quality/customer experience.

    If you have experience and understanding of Network Hardware Technologies and you have the ability to coach, mentor and develop staff, this could be the ideal role for you. In addition, you must have the ability to travel as information systems is a collaborative function between South Yorkshire and Humberside Police Forces., Knowledge and ability to utilise network technologies such as TCP/IP, MPLS, Client VPN and WAN VPN, WAN, LAN, VLANs, QoS, Multi-Cast, Telephony and VOIP, Penetration Testing

  • Knowledge of licence and asset management.

  • Knowledge of Web Service, Security Certification and SSL technology

  • Ability to travel (between Humberside Police and South Yorkshire Police).

  • Hold a relevant degree or proven experience of working at industry standard level.

  • Ability to manage and supervise staff.
