Full Job Description
Wood are recruiting for a System Management HSSE Advisor to be based in Sunbury. You will be responsible for supporting the HSSE Manager with the provision of timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to Health, Safety and the Environment with respect to Legislation, Company Policy and Management Systems., Data Interpretation and Analysis:
- Develop and implement a centralised system for HSE data interpretation from program and delivery units.
- Provide comprehensive analysis with insights and trends related to HSE performance data for Program and delivery units.
- Generate regular HSE performance reports highlighting trends, areas for improvement, and success stories. Incident Reporting and Trend Analysis:
- Ensure that incident reporting and advanced reporting tools are deployed and used by delivery units.
- Utilise incident reporting tools (DPM) to assess trends in the data and develop approaches and campaigns to address these trends.
- Monitor HSE self-verification and oversight data, track performance and report action status. Training and Competency Development:
- Maintain the Program HSE training plan, supporting its implementation.
- Develop HSE competency and training processes for HSE personnel
- Maintain the HSE Management System for the Program, ensuring that system-level policies, processes, and procedures are up to date, fit for purpose, and properly stored and controlled., Communicating the important messages from incidents and accidents as a part of the Lessons learned process to all relevant parties
- Promoting and communicating lessons learned from reporting deficiencies within project and corporate functions and recording all reportable issues within the project action tracking and incident reporting systems
- Managing HSE performance data for the HSE meetings, workshops and forums.
- Maintaining a system for monitoring HSE performance.
- Developing a site HSE visit programme
- Fulfil all other requirements as stipulated by the HSSE Manager.
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent NOT essential - Membership of a HSSE related institute i.e. IOSH, MIIRSM, IEMA etc NOT essential Desirable:
- RCA - accident / investigation training e.g. 5 why / Helix / Taproot Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a technical role or full time HSE Role in a relevant industry.
- Good planning and organisational skills
- High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format Personal attributes:
- Effective 2-way communicator, comfortable with presentation of HSE material.
