Full Job Description
- Supporting Early Help practitioners, including keyworkers in improving their skills in working with young people and their families who experience multiple and complex needs, including developing systemic practice through advice and consultation.
- Working closely with IFT's (Institude of Family Therapy's) Systemic Psychotherapist Delivery Co-Leads to provide support to deliver additional work to embed systemic practice in Early Help teams and attend regular supervision sessions with the co-leads
- To attend year one of Level 3 training to become a fully qualified systemic psychotherapist delivered by IFT.
- To support the Systemic Practice Pilot evaluation (as per details set out in the job description) About the team: The Practice Consultants are led by our Head of Academy/Principal Social Worker. The team is made up of Social Workers/Practice Educators with a wealth of experience from both Wokingham Borough Council and surrounding Local Authorities. The team is supportive, creative, forward thinking and friendly. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their excellent planning skills by independently organising & facilitating training sessions. This role would suit a bright, solution-focussed professional who is looking to move into a Practice Consultant role to grow their Systemic skills further.

- Salary: £52,498 - £56,632 (inc £3k Market Supplement) (pending national pay award)

The primary goal of this role is to support our Early Help Service; providing consultation, teaching and in person training. The Practice Consultant role will be a qualified Social Worker who has 2 yrs post graduate certificate in Systemic Practice. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience of working as a Social Worker within Children's Services.
