Full Job Description

As a Systems Engineer at Johnson Controls, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional engineering services to our customers across various aspects of system maintenance, installations, and service delivery. You will ensure that all work meets or exceeds our customers' expectations and that Johnson Controls is seen as a trusted partner in delivering world-class engineering solutions. In this role, you will take full ownership of all engineering service activities, including system installations, planned and preventative maintenance, and responding to technical call-outs. A key part of your role will be ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and customers, maintaining excellent communication throughout, and ensuring accurate paperwork and billing records are kept. As an integral member of the Services and Maintenance Team, your ability to work proactively, independently, and as part of a wider team is critical. You will support the team by offering your expertise when responding to technical faults, while working closely with both new and existing customers to maintain, optimize, and enhance their systems. Additionally, you will be required to participate in the on-call rota to provide 24/7 engineering support. How You Will Do It:

  • Collaborate with customers, project management teams, and internal stakeholders to develop and deliver system requirements and solutions.
  • Manage system installations, maintenance tasks, and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
  • Ensure that solutions and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Assist in the commissioning of new installations and ensure customer sign-off.
  • Conduct site surveys, prepare technical reports, and contribute to accurate project costings and designs.
  • Complete all project and service-related documentation to meet business timelines and operational standards.
  • Adhere to Johnson Controls' procedures and Health & Safety policies.

    Strong experience in integrated enterprise-level systems, including:
  • + CCTV + Intruder Alarm Systems + Perimeter Detection + Access Control + Video Intercom Systems
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as:
  • + Genetec, Gallagher, Milestone, FLIR Latitude, ProWatch, and Commend.
  • Experience with high-end CCTV cameras (Bosch, Axis, Optical/Thermal imaging).
  • Experience with Grade 3 Intruder Alarm installations (Galaxy, Texecom, and peripherals).
  • Familiarity with Senstar Omnitrax/Fibre Patrol and Fibre Optic systems (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally with customers.
  • Self-driven, enthusiastic, and able to work independently.
  • Professional demeanor and customer-centric approach.
  • Capabilities
  • Willing to travel and spend time away from home to support nationwide contracts, primarily across London and the Southeast.
  • Self-motivated with a positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer engineering services.
  • Reliable and capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to achieve and maintain government-level SC clearance.
