  • A focus on quality and integrity in everything you do, You'll also need to meet these essential these essential entry requirements:
  • Currently studying in your second year of an undergraduate degree in engineering or a related subject (e.g. science, technology or maths) and expected to achieve a minimum of a 2:2
  • To be eligible for a placement, you must be available to attend the 2-day induction, 30th June - 1st July. All offers for our placement programmes are subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks, including Right to Work, reference, and DBS criminal record checks. Due to the salary level of this placement, we cannot offer sponsorship for the position for individuals that don't have the Right to Work in the UK. Successful candidates will require Right to Work for the duration of the programme.

What You'll Be Doing Our one-year programme gives you the opportunity to work on exciting systems engineering projects that will create a smarter, safer and more sustainable strategic road network. Working with our Future Technologies and Mobility team, you'll get valuable insight on how we solve complex engineering challenges through researching, developing and delivering specialist solutions for our roads. You'll also discover how we're improving the customer experience through emerging technologies such as Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) that will shape how we design and operate the strategic road network of the future.
