Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to join our Finance Team as a Systems and Process Improvement Lead!
The team is responsible for the maintenance and development of the Council's ERP solution (Oracle) and other specialist Finance systems for Procurement and Accountancy teams to improve efficiencies through system and procedural improvements and improved management information.
As a Systems and Process Improvement Lead, you will work in partnership with service leads across Finance and Procurement to identify, coordinate and action work across the services to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of required outcomes on the ERP (Oracle) solution and other Finance specific systems. You will be the specialist single point of contact for the development and improvement of Finance aspects of the ERP and related processes, as well as supporting the delivery of the Councils Business Plan and Workforce Strategy priorities. Other responsibilities will include representing Finance and Procurement across the wider council as the technical systems specialist and being a key point of contact for teams to raise complex system issues for resolution.
Our ideal candidate will hold a degree in a relevant field or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and experience. You will have significant demonstrable knowledge and skills in a relevant ERP system such as Oracle HCM, as well as experience advising on strategic and operational decision making in this area. The ideal candidate will excel in managing workload priorities under pressure, possess excellent ICT skills, and be able to accurately and efficiently assess and present new information and data seamlessly.
