Systems Support Specialist

The Systems Support Specialist will be a first point of contact for technical queries and problem reports, addressing them in conjunction with Collections Systems Team and Digital Preservation Team and Technology and Digital Transformation teams (T&DT).,

• Provide front-line support for Collections Information Database and Digital Preservation Infrastructure.
• Process system issue reports submitted via online reporting forms, assessing their priority level, and diagnosing issues through discussion, analysis and delegation to appropriate stakeholders.
• Provide support for data and systems tasks within the Our Screen Heritage project
• Develop user support resources - for both internal and external users - and implement solutions to direct users to them and maximise their usage., First Name

  Demonstrable experience of using Collections Management Systems
• Proven experience of working in a technical support role or similar front-line user service area.
• Demonstrable experience of explaining technical concepts to system end users
• Experience working with large datasets using standard tools e.g. Excel
