Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a part-time role in Environment and Transport, providing an excellent learning and development opportunity. The role will assist the team that develops and manages the department's key systems ensuring they drive, and support customer focused, effective business processes., The role involves, supporting users across the department with various software managed by the Support Systems team, including the delivery of planned programmes of training and day-to-day support applications.

Assist in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of systems supported by the team. Undertake data entry activities, including the creation and update of asset information and data cleansing exercises. Administer general housekeeping and maintenance of the supported systems to ensure that information is of high quality., We are keen to support employees to balance their working life with other commitments.   • Knowledge of highways maintenance, legislation, regulations and policy.

  • The ability to build relationships, work at all levels in the organisation and communicate effectively and support users across the Department with applications managed by the team.

  • Clear organisational and communication skills and be able to work to tight timescales and to agreed targets.

  • Resolving enquiries in real time and feeding back to customers and other stakeholders.

  • Planning and delivering programmes of training to groups and individuals.

  • Producing reports from a range of systems, e.g. in a Geographical information system (GIS) format

  • Use of ICT systems and including use of highways specific systems such as Confirm, GIS software e.g., Location centre.
