Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our team in London, focusing on Partner recruitment. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. Within this role you will deliver a sector-leading, end-to-end, progressive and inclusive talent acquisition service for lateral Partner hires. You will support the Head of Partner Talent Acquisition, working closely on identifying, sourcing, networking and mapping lateral Partner prospects, across our UK and International offices. You will provide support to the internal direct sourcing service and assist in hiring and onboarding lateral Partners (and their team). You will also work closely with external recruitment agencies in relation to candidate introductions, arranging interviews, collating Partner feedback and generally assisting with the lateral recruitment process. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, including Practice Group Leaders and Team Leaders, to identify, source and manage the hiring process for laterals. You will help to maintain networks with Partners and specialist recruitment agencies, understanding the market for our core growth areas and how those areas are best served. You will be integral to our internal direct sourcing team, collaborating closely with key stakeholders and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
We are looking for a candidate with experience of working in research, ideally showcasing skills in market mapping, identifying opportunities, and presenting shortlists. An understanding of the legal industry, namely legal terminology and law firm structures would be advantageous. The ideal candidate would have experience working within:
- A recruitment agency
- The legal sector
- Professional services
- Legal Publications or Benchmarking Websites such as Chambers/Legal 500. In this role, it is crucial to effectively collaborate with and influence senior stakeholders. You should be able to quickly establish key relationships with senior individuals to gather information, gain market insights and generally understand their recruitment needs.
- A hybrid approach to office and remote working.
- 25 days annual leave, with the option to buy up to a week's extra annual leave
- Free private medical insurance, and the option to add family members
- A generous pension allowance
- Life assurance covering four times your annual salary
- The chance of a three-month sabbatical every five years
- Maternity, paternity and adoption leave schemes
- A range of health and wellbeing programmes
- State of the art offices in London, overlooking Tower Bridge, with an onsite restaurant
- Opportunities to flourish in your role through training and personal development Equal Opportunities: Gowling WLG is committed both to promoting equality and diversity in the firm and to Equal Opportunities in employment.
