Full Job Description

  • Source, screen, and recruit candidates for all roles at LBA, with a specific focus on peak recruitment for Aviation Security Officers.

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through various sourcing methods.

  • Conduct initial phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate suitability.

  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs and recruitment events to attract top talent.


  • Vetting and Screening:
  • Conduct thorough background checks and vetting processes for all candidates.

  • Ensure all applicants meet the stringent security requirements of the airport.

  • Maintain accurate records of vetting and screening results.

  • Take responsibility for CTC clearance process, ensuring all relevant employees hold the relevant clearance in line with legislative guidance.


  • Assessment Centres:
  • Assist in the planning and organisation of assessment centres for potential hires.

  • Facilitate assessment activities and provide feedback to candidates.

  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of assessment centres.


  • Training Delivery:
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programmes for key stakeholders

  • Conduct group inductions for new starters, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared.

  • Support the Talent Acquisition Manager in delivering ongoing training and development sessions.


  • Administrative Support:
  • Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with candidate information and status updates.

  • Prepare and manage recruitment reports and metrics.

  • Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.


  • HR Processes:
  • Assist HR Administrators with the full starter, leaver, and change process.

  • Ensure all new starters are fully on-boarded, including the completion of necessary paperwork and orientation.

  • Manage the documentation and processing of employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.

  • Assist with general HR administration, including payroll variations/contract changes, sickness/absence reporting, and annual leave queries, meeting room bookings, HR post management, liaising with departmental managers and OH providers, and overseeing the HR inbox.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with department heads to understand recruitment needs and priorities.

  • Provide regular updates on recruitment activities and progress to relevant stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.

    Proven experience in talent acquisition/recruitment: Whether in-house or agency, your background showcases your expertise.

  • High-volume recruitment: Ideally, you've managed large-scale hiring with ease.

  • Assessment centres and interviews: Ideally you will have hands-on experience running assessment centres and supporting interviews.

  • Presentation skills: Your ability to present confidently and effectively is top-notch.

  • Stakeholder management: You excel in building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Applicant tracking systems: You're experienced in using and maintaining these crucial tools.

  • First-class onboarding: You've successfully managed seamless onboarding experiences.

  • Recruitment lifecycle: A thorough understanding of every stage of the recruitment process is essential.

  • Administrative skills: Strong admin skills and a willingness to support HR Admin duties are key.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency: Excellent skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Process improvement: You can spot inefficiencies and are proactive in making improvements., This is an extremely varied and exciting role working a Monday to Friday working pattern (although flexibility is required depending on business needs). Applicants must have a 5-year checkable work history, must have lived continuously in the UK for over 3 years and will be required to complete a basic DBS check as well as a CTC check; in addition, further checks may apply.
