If you require any adjustments to assist you in applying for this role, please contact [email protected] I'm excited to announce a brand-new opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Partner to join our growing Acquisition & Onboarding team at Nottingham Building Society! You will help us to build diverse teams of exceptional talent to drive forward our exciting and ambitious new organisational strategy. Delivering exceptional experiences is in our DNA and is at the heart of our talent acquisition strategy; from candidate attraction & engagement through to onboarding our amazing new colleagues into the Society. As a Talent Acquisition Partner you will be partnering with leaders to attract and engage the very best talent to the Society. This is not a transactional recruiter role; we are looking for someone with a future-skills focus to bring new ideas and knowledge of the external market to enable us to attract, recruit and develop new capability across our changing business. We are a small and collaborative team; you will work on a variety of different campaigns across all departments and at all levels from early careers through to our middle management roles. Experience recruiting technical / data / digital roles would be advantageous but most importantly we're looking for someone who is comfortable working on broad portfolio of roles and wants to get stuck into some exciting campaigns, projects and initiatives! Here's a taste of what you'll be doing as a Talent Acquisition Partner at Nottingham Building Society: -

  • Candidate and employee experience will be at the heart of everyday interactions and processes, the Talent Acquisition Partner role is the voice of talent coming into the Society; you will deliver exceptional candidate and employee experiences bringing to life and championing our EVP throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Lead proactive and creative marketing approaches for talent attraction, using social and job platforms, our internal intranet site and networking to promote our employer brand.
  • Work closely with the People & Development team and stakeholders on innovative and effective selection methods to source the best candidates for each role in line with our culture and values.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from scoping the vacancy with the hiring manager and creating advertising material to onboarding your new starter into the business.
  • Provide pro-active and specialist advice on recruitment and selection issues demonstrating a solutions focused approach to talent acquisition.
  • Develop and coach recruiting managers in recruitment skills and best practice to embed confidence, compliance and the delivery of an excellent candidate experience.
  • Utilise your knowledge of future-skills in the workplace and our competitors to drive forward our direct sourcing strategy proactively building and maintaining a pipeline of talented candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Pro-actively develop your knowledge of the market and build external networks to develop our brand and external partnerships.

Transferable experience in a similar role with experience recruiting across a broad portfolio of roles.
  • Digital or technology recruitment experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Highly collaborative with exceptional partnering and communication skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable and open to change.
  • A good eye for detail, highly organised and good knowledge of recruitment compliance and best practice.
  • You will have the ability to look at a recruitment campaign holistically - thinking about the bigger picture, strategic priorities, future capability needs and organisation design.

We are a mutual, which means we don't have shareholders. Instead, we're owned by our members and use our money to do good, investing in our community, responsible causes, and - well, you. So, we're always striving to do the right thing for our team, communities and members.

A fair and competitive salary evaluated against market data, annual discretionary bonus scheme, Medicash healthcare scheme, 25 days annual leave (increasing to 29 from Jan 2025), plus bank holidays, holiday purchase scheme (buy up to 5 days) and enhanced family leave.
  • Commitment and dedication to your ongoing personal and professional development. We help you to own and grow your potential so you can be at your best in your current role and to support your future career aspirations.
  • Flexible and hybrid working to encourage a work life balance, we want you to be at your best inside and outside of work.
  • A friendly and inclusive culture where teams genuinely strive to do the right thing by their colleagues and our customers.
  • A strong sustainability agenda - we're continually finding new ways to be kinder to the environment by reducing our carbon footprint.
  • We're passionate about giving back to the communities in which we serve as well as supporting local charities as part of the Samuel Fox Foundation. One of the many ways you can get involved is to use the 2 days per year paid leave to volunteer for causes or charities that are important to you.
  • Your health and wellbeing is our priority, we encourage this through a suite of support resources, including a team of trained mental health first aiders.
  • Embracing Diversity Together: - We proudly embrace and celebrate diversity as a fundamental cornerstone of our values. We believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace is not just essential for our success but is also a reflection of the vibrant communities we serve. Our commitment to diversity extends beyond our internal culture to the way we approach advertising and engage with our customers. Our commitment means actively working to eliminate barriers and biases that may hinder equal opportunities within our organisation. We strive to ensure that all individuals, regardless of background, have an equal chance to thrive and advance in their careers. We acknowledge that diversity is not just a goal to be achieved but a continuous journey toward creating an environment that embraces differences and promotes equal opportunities for all. We are committed to fostering an inclusive culture that encourages collaboration, creativity, and a sense of belonging for every member of our community.
