Full Job Description

The newly created post of Talent Development Advisor will support the Leadership and Talent Academy Lead with the implementation and maintenance of an inclusive, talent led culture by managing a range of development initiatives e.g. training, coaching, development events and succession planning., · Communicate and coordinate talent and leadership events and initiatives, including on the day presence.
· Engage staff on initiatives, motivate to fulfil their talent development responsibilities and effectively challenge behaviour not aligned to the Trust values or inclusive talent development principles.
· Analyse talent data to monitor initiatives and employee progression, draw conclusions, trends and make recommendations to Senior Leaders.
· Act as a first point of contact and advice on all things talent management, career development and succession planning within the Trust.
· Lead our Career Ambassadors and Coaching networks.
· Support employees undertaking Career Experiences (internal work experience). Tracking and reporting on success of the initiative and any barriers to access.
· Develop and facilitate presentations, training, resources and team sessions and host mock interviews for internal candidates.
· Oversee talent and development inboxes.
· Support the succession planning and talent mapping cycle.
· Maintain apps, databases and report regularly on talent data for senior leaders and divisions.
· Support the running of internal and regional/national NHS leadership training programmes., Other Duties
· Is knowledgeable about the support and opportunities available to all staff and actively champions this;
· Holds a genuine interest and desire to learn and support the ongoing development of the Trust and it's people;
· To undertake other additional duties as advised by the Leadership and Talent Academy Lead.

· Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with staff across the Trust, at all levels.
· Has a compassionate, empathetic, friendly and understanding manner.
· Demonstrates confidence and professionalism in dealing with Senior Leadership Team members as required.
· Can engage and/or present to groups of diverse employees to deliver learning, seek feedback and encourage engagement in activities.
Financial Responsibility
· Ensures Trust resources are used appropriately and with due regard to our responsibilities to use public money well.
Planning and Organisational Skills
