Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and passionate teaching assistant who has experience of working with young people with additional needs and who is looking for a new, rewarding challenge. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the academy staff to develop this exciting new TMP, established in collaboration with the local authority and in response to the growing demand for resourced provision for Communication and Interaction within the Craven area., We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant who has experience of working with students with Communication and Interaction difficulties, particularly within the area of Autism, to work in this new provision in our academy. This is an exciting time as the academy continues to strengthen and develop its positive reputation for supporting young people with SEND in the local community. As such, this is in excellent opportunity to be a key member of the team in developing and implementing the provision and relevant strategies to support some of our most vulnerable students. The successful candidate will work as directed to meet the educational needs of students and support them in all areas of school life, where necessary. They will encourage students to become independent learners and at all times respect confidentiality of information relating to the school and its students.
