Full Job Description

· Plan, prepare and deliver Switch It and PL Kicks Targeted activities to meet individual's needs.

· Implement early and responsive intervention based on the needs of the young person

· Work with other multi-agency organisations to enhance provisions accessible to the young person and their family

· Create and deliver a dedicated non-curricular scheme of learning

· Promote and assist in access to new and existing services both within the Foundation and with other partners

· Build trusted relationships and be a role model for young people

· Create and sustain partnerships with local schools and continually seek to develop new partnerships with those not fully engaging in the programme

· Display efficiency in administrative tasks as required with reference to managing caseloads, new referrals and withdrawal plans

· Collate and maintain individualised personal portfolios for all caseloads, aligning with safeguarding and GDPR procedures.

· Work with other programmes and teams to contribute to a coordinated approach including learning and development, quality assurance, events and participant pathways.

  • Experience and/or understanding of basic youth work practices, including but not limited to, detached, mobile and centre-based youth work and one-to-one mentoring

  • Level 1 youth work qualification or equivalent experience

  • Experience of working with children and young people delivering pastoral care, educational workshops and sports provision within high-need communities

  • An ability to work independently being a self-starter and proactive, working and thinking creatively and taking initiative towards inspirational, motivating delivery

  • Ability to form strong and appropriate relationships, demonstrating excellent communication skills


  • · A valid driving licence, with access to own transport including business insurance and be eligible to work in the UK

    Desirable

    · Level 2 youth work qualification or equivalent experience

    · Knowledge of Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) and Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)
  • Emergency First Aid Certificate, or willingness to work towards

  • Certificate in Safeguarding, or willingness to work towards

  • Youth Mental Health First Aid, or willingness to work towards

  • Level 2 sports coaching qualification from a recognised NGB or equivalent experience, or willingness to work towards
