An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the in-house tax team here at Live Nation Entertainment, the world's leading live entertainment business. This is a newly created role, being the first in-house Tax Analyst position for the Group. This role would suit an enthusiastic tax specialist who is keen to apply their skills and gain experience within the live music industry. Alternatively, we can consider applications from those with a finance background who are keen to specialise in tax. Live Nation Entertainment in the UK incorporates Live Nation UK, Ticketmaster, Festival Republic. Academy Music Group and DF Concerts along with a number of other music promotion businesses. The position itself will consist of the supporting the Direct and Indirect Tax Managers with Tax compliance and reporting, as well as ad-hoc support for the tax team and business stakeholders across the group. The role represents a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop hands-on tax experience, in a mixed tax role within a large and diverse multi-national group. - Supporting Corporation Tax Managers with CT600 preparation and supporting calculations
- Assisting the Corporation Tax Managers with statutory account provisions and quarterly reporting to the US.
- Administration and calculation of UK QIPs and tax annual budget figures where required.
- Liaison with internal and external stakeholder where required, for example, HMRC.
- Ad hoc research on various tax matters (corporate, international, VAT, Employment taxes).
- Supporting the Employment Tax Manager with Benefits Reporting and Share Award reporting requirements.
- Assisting the team with Senior Accounting Officer ("SAO") obligations
- Supporting the Tax Director and Tax Managers with ad-hoc projects, as required. - Previous in-house experience in corporation tax or mixed tax background would be very advantageous but we are open to considering applications from people with a finance background who are keen to progress their career in taxation
- Part or qualified tax professional or accountant (e.g. ATT or equivalent), or you will be qualified by experience. Note: we can consider training support for candidates who demonstrate suitable willingness and an enthusiasm to study for a tax qualification
- Alpha Tax experience (desired)
- Good Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be comfortable explaining tax to non-tax stakeholders.
- Experience of running reports using financial systems such as Oracle and BPC (desired) Behaviours The following attributes determine how the role will be carried out and are required to be a success.
