  • Due to the continued growth and success of the firm, we are looking to expand our in-house tax team, with a new opportunity for a part/fully qualified Tax professional.
  • With exposure to Board and Senior Management, this is a great opportunity for a Tax professional to take on end-to-end ownership servicing the tax needs of individual partners of the group and assisting with direct tax compliance and corporate / partnership tax filings across the multiple international jurisdictions the firm is currently based in.
  • With the support of an established tax team from which to gain experience, there is significant opportunity to learn and progress to become an integral part of this international and UK tax team at an exciting time.
  • THE TEAM
  • The Group Finance team supports and drives the financial success of Addleshaw Goddard, striving to deliver a first-class service to all stakeholders. The Group Finance team comprises business professionals across a range of disciplines including Financial Control, Tax, Procurement, Business Partnering, Financial Planning and Analysis, Credit Control, Accounts Payable, Legal Billing and Legal Cashiering.
  • The Partnership Tax team is a small bespoke team that supports both Addleshaw Goddard LLP, associated firms and individual partners on all aspects of taxation.
  • We strive to deliver a first-class service to our stakeholders and to be an essential asset to both the firm as a whole and the wider Group Finance Department. The UK based team currently consists of a Head of Tax, Senior Tax Managers, Tax Manager and Senior Tax Analyst.
  • WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, the Tax Assistant Manager/Accountant will be responsible for direct tax compliance across Addleshaw Goddard worldwide jurisdictions , both individuals and corporates (including LLPs and companies) delivering on time every time. You will work cross-functionally, building relationships and a good understanding of the business to ensure accurate and timely tax support through relationships with external tax advisers and local finance teams. Duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Preparation of UK tax returns, provisions and reconciliation;
  • Preparation of schedules and analysis for corporate and partnership returns;
  • Maintaining relationships with, and delivering analysis to international external tax advisors;
  • Assisting with withholding tax filings;
  • Managing and supporting a variety of process and efficiency projects ensuring compliance and assessing new ways of applying automation to Tax procedures.

    Be a Part Qualified finance professional, with an appropriate tax or accounting qualification (e.g. CTA or ACCA) or Qualified ATT / by experience.
  • You will have at experience in individual and corporate UK tax return preparation, this experience may have been obtained in another professional services firm, in an accountancy practice where advice is given to clients, or in-house at another UK-headquartered international business.
  • Have strong attention to detail with the curiosity to identify, understand and drive imaginative solutions to challenges.
  • Be organised, self-starting and comfortable managing day to day workloads.
  • Have great communication skills and a proven track record at building successful relationships with customers.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for all outputs.
  • Be comfortable working with individuals at all levels and happy managing upwards.
  • Have a strong working knowledge in IT systems, specifically across MS packages (Excel (essential), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc.)
  • Experience gained at a professional partnership operating across multiple jurisdictions would be desirable but is not essential.
  • Awareness of the tax issues likely to be encountered in international jurisdictions, particularly those in which the group operates, would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Prior experience of UK Partnership Accounting and tax affairs would be desirable but not essential.
